Friday decluttering

I am a hoarder ,there I have admitted it.  Phew glad I got that. Out in the open.
Now I know I am not the only hoarder in the world and in fact I would say I just can't throw out ok I am a hoarder.
I don't know if you have programs where you are about do goodies who go and clear hoarders homes , do you know what I a mean ?
Well I live with one of those minimalist kinds of people ,in all honesty I think she was infectected by her sister who is uber minimalist.
Yes I live with my daughter and love it but I find the challenge of keeping the house even harder.
I mean come who has a pile of magazines by their favourite chair?
Well I do but the tidy mafia (only kidding H) don't approve but I am allowed a basket actually I allow myself one basked and it's only small.
Well I have decided that as I am living in a new home I want to change my ways.
So I have started small.
In the kitchen is a set of ikea drawers for bits and bobs bit like a dump it drawer .Well I went to find something and this is what I found so I decided to star small.

This took ten minutes and was not at all painful, it has resulted in organised spaces I gave myself a big pat on the back.

So what can you tackle in your own home that is small but could make a huge difference?
I love to read your comments and would love to start a conversation can you help me in my quest to become a minimalist?

Lights camera action

Here we are at K , for those that have been following me you will know that I am focusing on films .
This week I have a dialema , for the first time I am having to decide if I can allow it if there is "the" at the start of the title.
If yes then it's easy peasy the king and I or even the kings speech two of my very favourite films.
I have decided that as the is first word then no .
Instead I am sharing with you Kindergaton Cop "
I would not say it  was my favourite film but it's fun.

So that's my film for K. I am now off to see who has been to class. Don't forget miss Jenny likes an apple .
See you next week .

Lights Camera Action

Hello Happy Thursday . Today in Alphabet Thursday class we have reached J and if you are following me you will know that I am sharing my favourite films . Most I will have watched or are on my to watch  list .
I could have chosen James Bond but that is slightly cheating as that is the main character and there are no JB films beginning with J gutted .
Then there are the Jackass films that my daughter loves but they are not my thing.
I thought about Jack Frost but that is sad and Christmassy .
I have decided to go with .........

The idea is I have 100 words to tell you something related to the text in blue.

I showered and dressed as normal, but today is far from normal.
Today is the day that I will be wearing uncomfortable clothes, smart shoes , no jeans or trainers today.
Today there will be much loved music being played kind words said , prayers read songs sung.
Will I cry or not that does not matter , what matters is that today my children will be saying farewell to their much loved  “Beauty Grandad”
A day I dreaded coming, the final stage to the being parentless.
The cars pulled up and as I walked in slowly behind my Father
    …it was just a sea of faces…

This is a tribute to My dad Robert Peter Elsdon.Dad and  Beauty Grandad .

    Saturday Sewing Catch up

Ok I have decided to start another weekly posting.
I love sewing I am learning all the time the item to date I am very proud of is a cushion that I made as a gift for friends.
I put a zip in for the first time and also piping around the edge.
I hope to make new friends as well as sewing new items.
My next challenge is to master trousers  just jogger types but even so still have a long way to go.
I hope that I will make new friends here .
